John Brush Honored, New Team Members Aboard

2022-service-award-brushThe National Coin and Bullion Association honored John Brush during its membership dinner meeting on January 4 during the Florida United Numismatists (FUN) Convention in Orlando, Florida. Brush’s tenure as chair ended after four years of service but he will continue to serve as the immediate past chair on the board of directors’ executive committee.

Volunteer State Coin Dealer and Legislators Honored with Service Awards

Longtime member Col. Steven Ellsworth, (ret.), was honored by the National Coin and Bullion Association on January 4 during the organization’s membership dinner in Orlando, Florida, with the 2022 Diane Piret Memorial Outstanding Service Award for his efforts to see through the passage of Tennessee’s Senate Bill 1857 and its companion House Bill 1874. The bills provide a sale-tax exemption on coins, currency and bullion sold in the state.

NCBA Committee Makes Commemorative Coin Recommendations

The Numismatic Industry Coinage Advisory Committee (NICAC) today released its first commemorative coin recommendations to the United States Congress. NICAC is a committee of the National Coin and Bullion Association, formed for the purpose of advising Congress on the adoption of commemorative programs that memorialize people and events truly worthy of commemoration by the nation. NICAC's goal is to encourage approval of commemorative programs that have deep appeal among coin collectors or broad appeal with the American public.

A New World Class Money Convention

National Coin & Bullion Association member Colonel Steven Ellsworth, ret. has announced the 1ST Annual International Money Exposition. The convention and show will be held October 26–29, 2023 at the Music City Center, Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. The event will be known as “IMEX.”
